School olympic pentathlon for the third millenium

- the consercration of olympic ideals;
- stimulation of the training of children and young people in the spirit of harmonious development :physically,intelectually and emotionaly;
- the knowledge and appropiatetion of fair-play principles;
- celebration of olympism and it's symbols.

 - the competition has a mass character and is organized in four age categories:
 - category I : 3- 6 years;
 - category II:7-10 years;
 - category III: 11-14 years;
 - category III: 15- 18 years.

- the class stage (the group)        - first semester
- the school stage (kindergarten) - April
- the locality stage               - may (for category II, III, IV)
- the county stage                     - may (for category III, IV)
- the national stage                   - July

- the class stage,the group and the school stage,kindergarten,will be organized by the olympic circles and school sport associations with the support of phyisical education,drawing and music teachers
- The locality stage will be organized by the School Inspectorate and A.O.R branch
- the national stage will be organized by C.O.S.R during an olympic camp.

- 30 m running,flat with foot start;
- distance jumping withour impetus;
- forward throwing of the basketball with both hands above the head,with a single step impetus;
- test grid on olympic thematics - general culture,10 questions for categ. II,III,IV and color compositions and forms for categ.I.;
- artistic trial at the participant's choosing: literature,music,drawing,reciting,dance,eurhythmy (1-3 min).

- at the class stage of the contest all the pupils will participate;
- at the school stage the first 15 boys and first 15 girls will qualify,due to points obtained;
- at the locality stage the best will be invited (15 boys and 15 girls) from the school stage;
- at the district stage the ones who made the best scores (15 boys and 15 girls) at the locality stage will be invited;
- at the national stage the first boy and first girl who made the best scores at the disctrict stage will be invited;

          Order of development of the trials will be the following:
- 30 m running,foor star (a race)
- distance jumping without impetus (three trials)
- throwing of the basket ball (three trials)
- test grid with olympic thematics (general culture - 10 quetions),compositions for kindergarten.
- artistic trial at the participant's choosing (1’- 3’)

All the trials will take place during a day.
At the jumping and throwing trials all the three attempts will be recorded ,but the best score is considered.
In the case of not participating at a trial,the participant will be diaqualified.   

After the school stage,qualifying at the superior stages will be conditioned mainly by the scores made at all the five trials.
The second promotion condition will be the apreciation that the will school will make on those qualifyed. The apreciation will be written and it will refer to the discipline,behaviour,seriousness,morality,fair-play spirit,all these guarenteeing exceptional educational qualities.

- at every stage the organizers will set the day and hour of the beginning of the contest.
- the contest will be preceded ,at every stage,by a short olympic solemn ceremony,during which the olympic symbols will be presented.
- After this ceremony the presentation chart of every participant will be showed: the score obtained at the previous stage and the apreciation of the school.
- the comeptition will end with an award festivity.

- For every partiipant all the trials are mandatory,respectiv the regulation according to the principle:"Anf if someones fights,at the games,doesn't get the reward,if he didn't play by the rules of the game”. Timotei II 2 (5)
- Every participant will get an individual score according to the year of birth,equivalent to the result obtained at every trial and cumulated during all the five trials.
- the score given will range from 0 to 25 points according to a score table for sport trials.
- for the theoretical trial the score will range from 0 to 25 points and will be given according to the number of correct answers,and for the artistic trial the same score will be given according to the mark obtained (from 1 to 10).
- In conditions in which two scores will be equal,the tie breaker will be made by calculating the points obtained at the second performance,at distance jumping as well as at the throwing of the ball.If the equality continues,the third performance at both the trials will be considered.

XI .  Signing up and validation of the participants
- Singing up process will take place two weeks before the date of the contest,at the organizing institution.
- The organizers will fix and annouce the date of organizing the respective stage,they also will assign the place where the contest will take place.
- For the national stage the registration ns will be sent at the Romanian Olympic and Sport Committee.The artistic trial of every participant will be specified .Because of organizational reaons we propose that participants should not opt for piano.
- at the validation the following deeds will be presented:
a) Rated table: with :name,forename,year of birth,class,school,sport club,score obtained,artistic trial,medical approval,characterization file;
b) student book advised by the school;
c) copy after the birth certificate or identity card;
d) every participant will be given a contest number in the order of performances.

XII.   Titles and awards
- At the national stage all the participants will be given tshirts,diplomas and prizes from C.O.S.R.

XIII.  Administrative conditions
- Participation expenses will be paid by every school;
- Organizing expenses of local and district stages will be paid by the District School Inspectorares and A.O.R branches.
-  The organizing expenses of the national stage will be paid by C.O.S.R.
