"A pen named fair-play" Literature and sport journalism contest

Art. 1. The literary creation contest takes part in a national movement of consequent promotion of the olympic spirt and olympic values among the young talents in the school enviroment.Young people from schools and highschools are invited to take part,including artistic and sport education units.

Art. 2. The contest is promoted and supported by the International Olympic Committe,the Romanian Olympic and sport Committee through the Romanian Olympic Academy and the Ministry of Education,Research and Inovation.

Art.  3. Young people can participate at one of the three sections:poetry,prose and chronicle/sport reportage,in the following age categories:
            -    7 – 10 years;
            -  11 – 14 years;
            -  15 – 18 years.

Art. 4. Participation conditions:
          4.1. The works must have as a theme the olympic spirit or one of the olympic values:tolerance,fair-play,non-violence,joy in effort,respect towars others,equilibrium between mind and body.
          4.2. Only one work is accepted from a participant,at one of the mentioned sections.
          4.3. The works must not be over 5 A4 sheets of paper (21/30 cm).They must be accompanied by the talon of participation,with all the data completed : name and christian name,the title of the work,the section which the participant chose,the education unit:telephone/fax,class/age,city/district and the name of the guiding teacher.
4.4. The works are not returned to the participants.All the copyright rights belong to the Romanian Olympic and Sport Committee.

Art.  5. The contest has two different phases:district and national.
          5.1.   The district phase takes place until may this year.
          5.2. Every district school inspectorate will designate a jury which will be made by the inspector / romanian language and literature methodist and the phyiscial education and sport one,who will designate the winners in the three sections,in every age category.
          5.3.  At the end of the jury and classification operations,the District School Inspectorate will mail a maximum number of 30 works (10 per each age category) to the :Romanian olympic and Sport Committee - Calea Victoriei,nr.155,block D1,section 5,3rd floor,sector 1,Bucharest,code 010073 until 15 june this year.
          5.4.  The final phase will take place in october this year

Art. 6. There will be prizes awarded at every section,in each age category,so: 
      - 1 first place;
      - 1 second place;                               
      - 1 third place;                             
      - 1 third place.
      A special prize will be awarded to a participant who is a member at a school sport club,and who obtained sport performace,whatever the age category in which he participated in.

Art. 7. The most valuable works will be published in the C.O.S.R web page and in the "Olympic Spirit" Romanian Olympic Academy newsletter.
